KERRVILLE- Three goals and a combined shutout propelled the Lobos to their first win in 2019, 3-0 over Schreiner Sunday.
The Lobos got on the board at the 10:43 mark of the first half on
Andres Najera's first goal of the season for a 1-0 lead that extended to the half.
Luis Gonzalez netted his first goal of the season at 46:56 for a 2-0 lead.
Nana Prempeh added insurance for the Lobos at 76:27 with his first goal of the season for a 3-0 lead and the eventual win.
The Lobos put eight of their 12 shots on goal with a team-high two from Prempeh.
Frank Rodriguez played the first 61:41 in goal and had two saves.
Cesar Sanchez played the remaining 28:19 of the contest and completed the combined shutout with three saves.
The Lobos begin conference play Thursday the 26th at home with a 4:30 p.m. contest against University of the Ozarks.
