HOUSTON- An inspiring performance from senior goalkeeper
Frank Rodriguez that included seven saves and 90 minutes of shutout soccer could not propel the Lobos to victory as they fell thirty-six seconds into overtime against University of St. Thomas on Saturday in Houston.
After a scoreless 90 minutes between the clubs, Nick Seydler of the Celts took a pass from Olivio Palermo and netted the day's lone goal from the close left wing to give the Celts the 1-0 victory over the Lobos.
Sully tallied 12 total shots with three on goal.
Luis Gonzalez and
Nana Prempeh both had a team-high three shots with one on goal while
Mauricio Perez totaled two with one on goal.
The Lobos fall to 0-1-0 on the year while St. Thomas improves to 1-0-0.
The Lobos next travel this Friday to take on Wayland Baptist University at 7:00 p.m. from Plainview.
