JACKSON, Mississippi- 25 unanswered through three quarters propelled the Belhaven Blazers to a 25-6 win over the Lobos Saturday in Jackson.
Belhaven's Cade Ganey got scoring started in the first with a 33-yard field goal for a 3-0 lead.
Under four minutes later, Hunter McEachern connected with LaMarcus Caradine for a 56-yard touchdown. The score would remain 9-0 after a failed two-point conversion.
The Blazers got on the board once more in the first on a 5-yard touchdown run by Brad Foley for a 16-0 lead going to the second quarter.
Ganey connected again from 22 yards for a 19-0 lead that extended to the half.
Late in the third quarter, Belhaven found the endzone again on 34-yard strike from Mario Asagunla to Nick Lauderdale for a 25-0 lead entering the fourth.
The Lobos cut the deficit to 19 with 12:56 remaining after
Matthew DeLeon scored on a 5-yard run.
Jaden Brown's kick was blocked for a 25-6 score that would eventually be the final.
Trey Johns completed 19 of 40 passing for a career-high 233 yards. His completions and attempts were also career-highs.
De'Andre Bergen led all receivers with 75 yards on four catches.
Dre'Chon Moody had a game-high seven receptions for 73 yards.
The Lobos fall to 3-6 on the season and 3-5 in ASC play. The Blazers improve to 2-7 and 2-6.
Sully concludes their 2019 season at Jackson Field Saturday, November 16 with a 12:00 p.m. kickoff against #1 Mary Hardin-Baylor.
