ALPINE- No. 1/2 Mary Hardin-Baylor defeated the Lobos 77-14 Saturday at Jackson Field in the regular season finale.
The Crusaders opened up a 27-0 lead before
Williton Grear's two-yard touchdown run capped a 13-play 75-yard drive to put Sully on the board.
Jaden Brown's extra point was blocked and returned for a 29-6 UMHB lead.
The Lobos recovered the ensuing kickoff and scored on the next play when
Fabian Baeza hit
Logan Schnautz for a 27-yard touchdown to make it 29-14 with 2:53 left in the first half.
The Crusaders scored twice more before the half and took a 43-14 lead to the break.
UMHB outscored Sully 34-0 in the second half to defeat the Lobos 77-14 in the season finale.
Grear rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.
Schnautz caught eight passes for 94 yards, both career-highs, and a touchdown.
Sully finishes the year 3-7 and 3-6 in the ASC. UMHB ends their regular season 10-0 and 9-0.
Saturday was also senior day as nine Lobos suited up for their final time.
