Tristen Licon scored 23 second-half points and totaled a career-high 32 for the game in a 74-67 comeback win Friday against Colorado College.
The Tigers got off to a fast start and the Lobos found themselves behind 22-4 with 10:31 left in the first half.
Sully used the final 10 minutes of the first half to chip away at the early deficit.
Down 26-10, the Lobos used a 12-0 run to get back into the game.
Jezreel Griffin started the run with two free throws.
Tristen Licon then drove into the lane and was fouled during a successful layup. He would hit the free throw for the three-point play.
Logan Dixon scored five during the run starting with a layup. Griffin hit two more free throws before Dixon finished the run with a three-pointer to cut the deficit to 26-22 with 4:39 left in the first half.
The closest Sully would get in the first half was two on a Licon three-pointer with 1:22 left. Colorado College scored the final three points of the half and took a 33-28 lead to the break.
Licon again brought it to within two with a three-pointer 1:34 into the second. The Tigers responded with a 9-2 run to go up 44-35 at the 15:47 mark.
The Lobos answered back with a 13-2 run for their first lead of the game. Griffin started the run with a pair of free throws before
Cole Avery and Licon knocked down three-pointers. Licon then finished the run with another three and a layup to put Sully ahead 48-46 with 12:14 left.
Tied 52-52 with 10:07 left, Colorado College took the lead and held it for the next 4:03. Dixon scored five-straight on a three-pointer and eventually two free throws for a 60-59 lead with 5:05 remaining.
A Licon jumper put the Lobos up three before the Tigers tied the game 62-62 with 4:26 left.
Another Licon jumper put Sully ahead again 64-62 with 4:10 left.
B.J. Hollis made the second of two free throw attempts and next possession converted a layup for a 67-62 lead with 2:41 left.
After a Colorado College layup, Licon put Lobos ahead 72-67 with 21 seconds left on a 5-0 run from the free throw line. Hollis cemented the win 11 seconds later with two free throws for a 74-67 victory.
Licon totaled new career-highs with 32 points and 10 rebounds. His previous career-best in points was 25 on January 26, 2018 in a 91-89 win against Mary Hardin-Baylor. His previous rebound high was nine in an 82-79 win against Trinity on December 31, 2018.
Dixon provided a career-best with 17 points and added four rebounds.
The Lobos even their regular season record at 2-2. Colorado college drops to 1-3.
Sully is next in action Saturday, November 30 with a 6:30 p.m. exhibition against Johnson & Wales in Colorado Springs, CO.
