MARSHALL- The Tigers of East Texas Baptist never trailed Friday in a 79-31 win over the Lady Lobos at Ornelas Gym in Marshall.

Kaylee Martinez evened things early with a layup for a 2-2 tie.

The Tigers took an 18-3 lead to the second quarter and a 40-12 lead to the half.

Sully started the second half on a 5-0 run as Chandre Nunez hit a pair of free throws and then sank a basket and hit the ensuing free throw after the foul for a 40-17 score with 7:28 left in the third.

ETBU responded and ended the third quarter with a 56-22 lead en route to a 79-31 win.

Nunez led all Lady Lobos in scoring with 10 points, added a second team-best five rebounds, a team-high four steals, and hit six of seven free throws.

Kaylee Martinez nabbed a team-high seven rebounds and three steals.

Sully falls to 0-2 on the season. The Tigers nab their first win and sit at 1-2.

The Lady Lobos finish the ETBU Classic tomorrow in Marshall with a 1:00 p.m. tipoff against Louisiana College.
