Lobos leave Jackson with 1-1 tie against Belhaven #SRSU | #BrandEm | #ASCsoccer

JACKSON, MS- Two overtime periods couldn't settle it, as the Lobos and Blazers ended in a 1-1 tie Saturday.

Brendan Koehn's goal 1:42 into the game gave the Blazers a 1-0 lead. He was assisted by Nathan Ratzlaff.

Demetrio Ortegon's first goal of the season at the 31:59 mark tied the game 1-1. Mauricio Perez picked up an assist on the equalizer.

Both teams put six shots on goal for the game. Oretegon had a game high three.

Both goalies pitched shutouts for the remainder of regulation and both 10 minute overtime periods.

Frank Rodriguez saved five shots in 110 minutes of action. He allowed only two goals during the current road trip in 200 minutes of play. This is the fifth game in a row in which he has allowed one or fewer goals.

The Lobos are no strangers to overtime this year. This is the second time in three games that has ended in a double overtime tie. The Lobos tied visiting UT Dallas 0-0 in 2OT on September 28.

Sully moves to 3-4-2 on the season and 1-1-2 in conference play. Belhaven is 7-2-1 and 1-2-1.

The Lobos next travel to Austin this Thursday for a clash with Concordia.
