PINEVILLE, LA- Nuvia Guillen's goal in the 67th minute propelled the Lady Lobos 1-0 over the Wildcats Thursday in ASC action.

The El Paso Sophomore netted the lone goal of the game at 67:17 of the second half for the lead and eventual 1-0 win.

Guillen was held scoreless last year against LC, but put two shots on goal in a 2-0 win on October 11, 2018. This time Guillen also put two shots on goal and was able to find the back of the net for his first score of the season.

The Lady Lobos outshot the Wildcats 13-9 and put nine shots on goal compared to LC's 4.

Marli Martin had a team-high four shots and also had a team best three on goal. Julia Gomez put up two shots with both on goal.

Goalkeeper Ylitzel Ybarra completed her fourth shutout of the season and second in a row. She saved all four shots that came her way to improve her record to 2-2-2. Her goals against average dropped to a season best 1.26 and her save percentage rose to .846.

This is the second shutout win of the season for the Lady Lobos. The first came on September 13 when Sully blanked Houston-Victoria 2-0. A game in which Ybarra posted her first shutout of the season with five saves. It also brought her first win of the season with help from Joanna Estrada and Victoria Shelton goals.

The Lady Lobos improve to 2-4-3 overall and 1-1-1 in conference play. Louisiana College falls to 1-7-1 and 0-3-0 in the ASC.

Sully next travels to Jackson, MS for a 12:00 p.m. match Saturday with the Belhaven Blazers.
