ALPINE- A Sully first half goal was matched with a McMurry second half goal and resulted in a 1-1 tie after double overtime Thursday.
Nuvia Guillen put the Lady Lobos ahead unassisted 2:12 into the game for her second goal of the season and a 1-0 lead.
Goalkeeper
Alitzel Ybarra shutout the War Hawks in the first half saving both shots on goal.
McMurry responded in the second half with 6 shots on goal. Angelica Navarro got one passed Ybarra for the equalizer at the 60:04 mark off an assist from Meriah Sikora for a 1-1 tie. Ybarra would eventually be pulled for
Lily Boles. Boles would finish the second half with two saves.
Sully's best chance to break the tie came with just under nine minutes left in regulation.
Britney Berumen found space but couldn't get her shot past goalkeeper Jordan Gregory as the game went to overtime.

Nuvia Guillen's late shot was saved by Gregory. Sully's defense did not allow a shot on goal as the game ended 1-1 in double overtime.
Only three teams in women's soccer have ties in the ASC. UT Dallas, McMurry, and Sul Ross. Sully plays a part in each decision. They tied UT Dallas 0-0 in double overtime on September 28 before drawing with McMurry Thursday. UT Dallas and McMurry are top four teams int he ASC, both holding 5-1-1 records in conference play.
The Lady Lobos stand at 2-7-4 on the year and 1-4-2 in conference play. McMurry is 10-1-5 to go with their 5-1-1 conference record.
Sully hosts Hardin-Simmons Saturday at Lobo Field with a 1:00 p.m. start.
