ALPINE- A goal in each half proved to be enough for the Cowgirls in a 2-0 win over the Lady Lobos Saturday afternoon.
Madelyn Dowell scored on a penalty kick 11:11 into the game for a 1-0 lead.

Alitzel Ybarra saved the next two shots that came her way in the first half to keep the deficit 1-0 going to intermission.
Hayden Abor extended the HSU lead to 2-0 at 56:46 off an assist from Taylor Bernal for a 2-0 lead.
Sully's offense put pressure on the Cowgirls in the second half with seven shots and four on goal, but they were unable to find the back of the net and the Cowgirls went on to win 2-0.
The Lady Lobos drop to 2-8-4 on the season and 1-5-2 in ASC play. HSU stands at 13-2-0 and 6-2-0.
Sully is back on the road next week and will be back in action Thursday in Marshall against East Texas Baptist.
