Sul Ross women top LeTourneau, 3-1

ALPINE, Texas-  Sul Ross women's soccer posted a 3-1 ASC victory Saturday against visiting LeTourneau.

Britney Berumen scored on a long ball over the goal keeper in the 12th minute of the first half.

It would mark the only goal scored in the half.

Aylin Villalobos then converted on a shot from the lower right quadrant at the 53 minute of the second half and extended the Lady Lobos' lead, 2-0.

LeTourneau's Kelli Sonnier then banked on a shot above the goalie at 72:03 and pulled the visitors to within one.

Kimberly Hubert would score the final goal of the day at the 76th minute off a corner kick for the 3-1 Lady Lobo victory.

Sul Ross improves to 3-3-0 and 2-2-0 while the Lady Jackets drop to 6-3-1 and 2-3-0.

Sully will visit U.T. Tyler for a 5:00 p.m. ASC match Thursday.
