TYLER, Texas- A back-and-fourth outing turned U.T. Tyler's way at the 57th minute as the Patriots held on for a 3-2 non-conference victory over visiting Sul Ross Thursday evening.
The Lady Lobos converted the first goal early in the opening half as
Britney Berumen scored on a free kick from 35 yards out.
U.T. Tyler's Kaycee West tied the game at the 31st minute with a one-on-one around the goal keeper.

Emily Mihalik then pulled a one-on-one shot from 18 yards away at the 34:10 mark and gave the Lady Lobos a 2-1 lead heading to the break.
West struck again at the 50th minute off a corner kick set up from teammate Kiersten Ehler to tie the contest at two.
The Patriots' Carrie Gilliand then tapped in the tie-breaking goal at 57:55 for a 3-2 U.T. Tyler lead and the eventual victory.
Thursday's setback at Tyler drops Sul Ross to 3-4 on the season. U.T. Tyler improves to 7-2-1.
The Lady Lobos return to ASC competition this Saturday with a noon kickoff at University of the Ozarks.
