CLARKSVILLE, Ark.- Back-to-back goals by freshman forward
Emily Mihalik late in the second half lifted the Sul Ross women's soccer team to a 2-0 blanking of host University of the Ozarks in ASC action Saturday afternoon.
Mihalik's first score came in the 83rd minute off a bounced-in shot off the crossbar.
Mihalik then outpaced two Ozark defenders down the right side to secure her fifth goal of the season at 88:17.
Nuvia Guillen and
Marli Martin created the setups for Mahlik's two goals.
Goalkeeper
Kelly Swenson picked up five saves for the day.
As a team, Sul Ross took 13 shots with nine on goal while Ozarks posted 10 shots with five on frame.
Sully evens its season record at 4-4 and bumps its ASC mark to 3-2. Ozarks drops to 3-7-2 and 1-6-1.
The Lady Lobos will host Louisiana College and Belhaven University in a pair of ASC games next Thursday and Saturday.
Kickoffs are scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
