PINEVILLE, La.- Cody Remore threw seven complete innings allowing just four hits as the Sul Ross Lobos topped host Louisiana College in a 6-2 ASC series opener Friday evening.

Remore allowed just one run while striking out three opponent batters to improve his season record to 6-2.

The Lobos registered three runs in the top of the second as Monty Maley scored on a single by Jace Jenkins.

Jacob Ochoa and Holden Simpson then came across on a single by Wesley Moss giving Sully a 3-0 lead.

Simpson scored again in the Lobo fourth off a single by Ryan Acebedo extending the visitors' lead to four.

Sul Ross plated two more runs in the top of the seventh as Ryan Almager and Jonathon Bigley scored on a single by Ochoa.

The Wildcats then brought two runs across in the bottom of the seventh and eighth but the Lobos prevailed for the 6-2 victory.

Moss and Jenkins both finished at 2-for-3 hitting.

Sully improves to 14-9 on the season and 8-2 in ASC play while Louisiana College drops to 13-4 and 3-4.

The Lobos and Wildcats will conclude their three-game series Saturday with a noon doubleheader beginning at noon.
