TYLER, Texas- No. 19 University of Texas at Tyler survived a freshman-ladened Lobo men's soccer team for a 1-0 non-conference victory Thursday in Tyler.

The Patriots' Lucas Pereira scored on a breakaway past the Lobo goalie in the 27th minute of the first half.

Sul Ross goal keeper Frank Rodriguez notched nine saves in the effort.

The Lobos drop to 1-7-0 on the season while U.T. Tyler improves to 9-1-1.

Sul Ross will face University of the Ozarks in a 2:00 p.m. ASC bout Saturday in Clarksville, Arkansas.
