BELTON- A game-long shooting slump was too much to overcome as Sul Ross (12-11, 8-6 ASC) fell to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (14-8, 7-6 ASC), 73-62 in ASC competition Thursday night in Belton.
The Lobos will have a rematch with Concordia University at 3:00 p.m. Saturday in Austin.
Sully held a slim lead for nearly half of the opening period.

Caleb Thomasson (Ackerly/Sands) cut Sully's deficit to nine before
C.J. Ross (Austin/Akins) cleared a short range jumper and pulled the Lobos to within seven at 11:11.
Mary Hardin-Baylor then broke out to a 16-point lead at 6:05.
Sul Ross scored the final bucket of the night at two seconds as
Jacob Dawson (Amarillo/AHS) drained a long-range jumper.
Thomasson scored a double double 16 points and 11 rebounds in the effort while Webb and Ross sported 13 and 12 points respectively.
Sully completed the night at 22-of-59 shooting or 37 percent and banked on 7-of-22 from beyond the arc.
