ALPINE, Texas- Visiting East Texas Baptist improved their undefeated record to 6-0 and 3-0 with a 74-48 victory over Sul Ross (1-7, 1-2) at the Gallego Center Monday.

Erica Solomon- Powell and Angalyn Latin led Lady Lobo shooters with 13 and 11 points.

The Tigers led by seven, 21-14 at the end of the first quarter.

Sul Ross managed just 10 points in the second period and trailed at the half, 34-24.

East Texas Baptist pulled ahead by 18 in the third quarter as the Tigers' Kim Childress converted a short range bucket at the 6:53 mark.

A 7-0 run by the visitors spread the gap to 23, 54-31 at 4:34.

A jumper in the paint by Kiera Cosby narrowed the Sul Ross deficit to 15 with just under a minute left in the third.

A free throw by Childress at 34 seconds gave the Tigers a 55-39 advantage heading to the closing quarter.

ETBU never looked back and capped the game on a 4-0 run to take the 74-48 conference win.

The Lady Lobos will be on the road Thursday and Saturday for conference games at Louisiana College and Belhaven.
