Katy Boren (Lubbock/Cooper) registered 16 points to lead Sul Ross (8-9, 5-3 ASC) to an 80-75 ASC victory over Hardin-Simmons University (6-10, 2-6 ASC) Saturday in Abilene.
The Lady Lobos will entertain Concordia in a 5:30 p.m. conference tip Thursday at the Gallego Center.

Lindsey Hearn (Lubbock/Lubbock Christian HS) started an 8-0 run to begin the outing.
Sul Ross broke into a double digit lead with 6:12 left in the first quarter as Boren rang in a long distance jumper.
Boren fired another three-point bucket capping another 8-0 attack for a 23-8 advantage at 2:20.
A long range shot by Hearn at 1:32 extended the visitor lead to 16 before HSU's Kourtney Holyfield bingoed on a three-point play of her own to finish the period with Sully leading 26-13.
Sully held a double digit lead throughout the second quarter as
Ellyn Avery (Grady/GHS) converted two free throws for a 20-point, 49-29 lead at 42 seconds.
A three-pointer by the Cowgirls' Danie Mabry at 29 seconds cut the Hardin-Simmons deficit to 17 heading to the half.
The home team broke out on an 8-0 run to begin the third period and trailed 49-42 at 8:02.
A layup with eight seconds left in the quarter by
Bayli Bowles (Roosevelt/RHS) stretched Sully's lead to 12, 65-53 heading to the closing frame.
Hardin-Simmons started the fourth with a 6-0 run and trailed 65-61 at the 6:17 mark before another 6-0 sprint cut the Cowgirl deficit to one at 3:36.
Sul Ross held the home team in check over the next three and a half minutes and never surrendered the lead for the 80-75 win.
Hearn scored 15 points for the afternoon while
Taylor Gass (Gail/Borden Co.) and Bowles tallied 12 and 10 points respectively.
Hearn led the team with six rebounds.
