Sul Ross will close out the month of December with a pair of non-conference road matches at Abilene Christian and Eastern New Mexico University December 28 and 30.
The Lady Lobos held a slim lead to begin the contest before the Comets mounted a 5-0 run to tie the game with 7:34 left in the first quarter.
UTD broke the knot and held a pair of five-point leads before Sully's
Hannah Carr (Wall/WHS) hit a long range jumper in the closing moments of the period for a 16-14 advantage by the visitors.
Boren nailed a three-pointer with 7:10 left before the half to pull Sul Ross to within a point before connecting again from long range at 6:41 for a 20-18 go ahead.
The Comets reclaimed the lead at 4:34 and held the favor for the remainder of the half although the Lady Lobos threatened with a 4-0 run and trailed 25-24 at intermission.
Boren hit another three-point shot at the 6:49 mark, third quarter before U.T. Dallas broke away on a 7-0 and led, 45-33 heading to the fourth period.
The Comets kept Sully to within six but posted several large scoring runs amounting to the 70-52 final score.
Sully shot 39 percent from the floor at 18-46 and finished at 7-18 from beyond the arc, also at 39 percent.
From the line the Lady Lobos connected on 9-10 at 90 percent.
