Lobos Gameweek
ALPINE, Texas- No. 3 University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (8-0, 5-0 ASC) unleashed a 42-point barrage in the second half and rolled by Sul Ross (4-4, 2-2 ASC) in a 59-10 ASC decision Saturday.
The Lobos will host Howard Payne University in the final home game next Saturday in a 6:00 p.m. conference contest.
The Cru's John Mowery scored the first points of the afternoon on a 39-yard field goal at the 12:36 mark first quarter.
The Lobos answered in kind as

Mary Hardin-Baylor then put up back-to-back touchdowns as Markeith Miller scored on a three-yard scamper at 6:00. Blake Jackson then found Duane Thompson on a 14-yard strike at the 6:44 mark, second quarter. Both point after kicks by Mowery were good.
With 1:27 left in the half Sully's
Josh Vallejo (Brownsville/Gladys Porter) scored on a four-yard toss by
James Davis (Houston/South) before Cruz converted the extra point for a 17-10 Lobo deficit heading to intermission.
Three special teams miscues including a blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown helped spell the Lobos' undoing as Mary Hardin-Baylor coasted to the 59-10 victory.
As a team the Crusaders put up 441 yards of total offense while holding Sully to 261.
Davis completed 16 of 23 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown.
