Box Score IRVING- Rachel Hamilton (San Antonio) nailed a header into the net two and a half minutes into the opening half but the Lady Lobos were not able to overcome a 5-0 run in the second as Texas A&M Texarkana defeated Sul Ross, 7-2, Thursday at the University of Dallas.

Hamilton's goal was set up by Carli Pisano (Weatherford) and Valeria Rey (El Paso) at the 2:50 mark.

Texarkana tied the game at 5:13 as TAMUT's Sharpnack Isom swept the ball into the goal on an angle from the right side.

The Eagles' Arika Eilliot then broke the stalemate on a goal keep beater from the middle as TAMUT took a 2-1 lead at 24:22.

Rey would tie the game off a pass from Jaedyn Gutierrez (Lubbock) just 12 seconds later on a shot that sailed just left of the goalie.

Both teams headed to the break tied at two before the Eagles broke out in the second half with a 5-0 drive as TAMUT coasted to the 7-2 victory.

The Lady Lobos drop to 3-12 on the season while the Eagles bump their mark to 9-5-1.

Sul Ross will wrap up their inaugural season on Friday against the University of Dallas at 1:30 p.m.
