Transferred to Sul Ross from St. Edward’s University … Lettered for the Lobo baseball team from 1997-1999 … Second-team NAIA All-American at shortstop in 1999 … Kubosh holds the NAIA national record for doubles (Hit 22 in 34 games) … Three-time All-Conference.

  • 1997: Named to the American Southwest Conference team at third base … Batted .385 with five home runs and 35 runs scored.
  • 1998: ASC All-Conference at shortstop and pitcher … Went 5-1 with a 3.08 ERA while batting .260.
  • 1999: ASC Player of the Year at shortstop and pitcher … Had a .441 batting average with 50 runs scored … Tallied 135 assists … Sported a record of 8-1 with a 4.35 ERA.
>> AFTER COLLEGE: Kubosh signed as a free agent with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization where he spent three years in the minor leagues … Currently owns Kubosh Real Estate Appraisal in Katy … He is married and has four children.
