Fowler Freund has served on the Lobo football staff since March 2022 as a special team's coordinator, tight end's coach and running back coach.
Prior to coming to Sul Ross State, Freund worked at NCAA Division III Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss. where he coached running backs and tight ends from 2020-2022.
Freund graduated from UTEP where he played football as a long snapper from 2015-2018. In addition, he also served as a student assistant special teams coach.
Born in Odessa, Texas, he attended El Paso High School in El Paso, Texas where he lettered two years on the varsity football squad.
