Eric Daniels is in his third season as a member of the Sul Ross State football coaching staff. He is an assistant coach, defensive run game coordinator and linebacker coach.
Daniels played at Jersey Village High School before getting a scholarship to play at NCAA Division II Eastern New Mexico as linebacker in 2012.
He later transferred to the UT San Antonio and then to Tarleton State as he earned a bachelors in criminal justice in 2019 and his masters in kinesiology in 2021.
For the last four seasons at Tarleton, Daniels had served in various capacities, rising the ladder from an intern to a graduate assistant coach assisting the offensive line.
He also served as quality control as a student assistant and a lead equipment manager.
