ALPINE, Texas — The Sul Ross State University women's soccer team (overall 1-6, LSC 0-3) showed grit in a Lone Star Conference matchup Wednesday afternoon, falling 3-0 to Oklahoma Christian (overall 4-1-1, LSC 2-0) at Lobo Soccer Field.

Goalkeeper Emmy Finlinson once again stood tall between the posts, recording double-digit saves for the fourth straight match to keep the Lobos within striking distance, while Sul Ross generated stretches of possession and created chances in the attacking third. Though the Lobos battled throughout, Oklahoma Christian converted key opportunities, while Sul Ross showed continued progress on both ends of the field.

The Lobos continued to compete until the final whistle, drawing energy from their home crowd and showcasing resilience against a tough opponent, and now shift focus to their next contest — a road matchup against West Texas A&M on Saturday, Sept. 27, at The Pitch Buffalo Sports Park in Canyon, Texas set for 1 p.m.
