Lobos Battle the Rams Under the West Texas Night Sky

ALPINE, Texas – The Sul Ross State University football team returns home this weekend for another Lone Star Conference matchup, hosting Angelo State on Saturday, October 25, at Jackson Field. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.

Head Coach Lee Hay's and the Lobos look to build momentum in front of their home crowd after a strong showing on the road last week. Under Hay's leadership, Sul Ross continues to make strides each week, showing improved execution and toughness on both sides of the ball.

Defensively, linebacker Darryl Minor Jr. remains a force, leading the team last week with 18 total tackles (8 solo, 10 assists), including a sack and a forced fumble. On the offensive side, the Lobos will look to establish rhythm early against an Angelo State defense known for its speed and physicality. With growing confidence in both the running and passing game, Sul Ross aims to capitalize on the energy of the home crowd and turn opportunities into points.

Saturday's contest gives the Lobos another chance to showcase their progress within the Lone Star Conference and continue building under Coach Hay's direction, as well as in the final year of the program's provisional period toward full Lone Star Conference membership.
