On Wednesday morning, the Sul Ross State women's soccer team was deadlocked with the Texas A&M International Dustdevils at the half.
Texas A&M International used two goals in the second half to propel its way to a 3-1 victory at the Lobo Soccer Field.
>> HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Dustdevils scored in the 13th minute as Krysan St. Louis found the back of the net off an assist by Gabriela Mendez-Ortiz.
Sul Ross State tied up the game when
Karina Gallegos got a free kick opportunity just outside the penalty area that resulted in a goal in the 33rd minute.
Texas A&M International got the go-ahead goal in the 70th minute as Laura Cardenas fired one in off the post that managed to sneak in.
Janize Castillo then sneaked a ball past the far-left post that found the back of the net on an assist by St. Louis in the 87th minute.

- Sul Ross State had eight shots, five coming at the goal.
- Gallegos is now tied for the team lead in goals with three.
- Mia Serrano had four shots, two coming at the goal.
- Eva Hernandez tallied two shots and one shot on goal.
- Celeste De La Rosa and Benita Carreon combined to make four saves. De La Rosa had two saves in the second half.
