Vicente Luevano was named to the 2023 Division III All Region team by Hansen Ratings.
Luevano, a junior, earned Region 3 third-team honors as a punt returner.
On offense, he grabbed 36 catches for 549 yards and six touchdowns. Luevano had a season-best 165 receiving yards and three touchdowns during a 47-42 homecoming victory over Howard Payne on Nov. 4.
He also recorded his longest reception of the season against Howard Payne by scoring on a 75-yard pass from
Andrew Martinez during the first quarter.
As a specialist, Luevano returned 12 punts for 122 yards. He had a season-high 74-yard punt return for a touchdown against Austin College to help fuel a 49-7 win by the Lobos on Oct. 7.
Luevano also tallied 197 yards on 13 kickoffs. He had a season-best 24-yard return against Mary Hardin-Baylor on Oct. 14.
The San Diego, Texas native now has 2,011 career receiving yards to go along with his 23 touchdowns.
He is currently ranked fifth all-time in the Lobo record book for the American Southwest Conference era for career receiving yards, surpassing Codrick Mobley who held the fifth spot with 1,820 yards.
Luevano's 134 career receptions are fifth all-time in the ASC era record book.

The All-Region teams are put together using a mathematical formula based on efficiency, volume, impact plays, total adjusted yards per play, yards above replacement player per game and quality competition.
