CLARKSVILLE, Ark. —
Marley Rokas and
Victoria Aguayo each had a double-double performance, however the Sul Ross State women's basketball team fell to the University of the Ozarks Eagles, 70-55, on Saturday afternoon at the Mabee Gymnasium.
>> HOW IT HAPPENED:
The first quarter had four early lead changes.
Sul Ross State held a 6-5 lead on a layup from Aguayo before the Eagles went ahead by one.
Kayley Diaz then made a jumper to give the Lobos a one-point lead.
Using a 6-0 run, the Eagles pulled away to lead by five at the 3:27 mark.
The Lobos cut the deficit to one using a 4-0 run that had two points in the paint from Diaz and
Emily Bunger.
Behind a 5-0 run, the Ozarks went ahead by six until Rokas cut the deficit to four with a jumper at the 27 second mark.
The Eagles outscored the Lobos, 21-12, in the second quarter to lead by as much as 17 points with 1:16 to go in the first half.
Sul Ross State managed to outscore the Ozarks, 17-11, in the final quarter.

- Rokas recorded her second-straight double-double as she had 20 points and 11 rebounds along with three assists.
- Aguayo tallied her third double-double of the season, first since Nov. 30. She finished with 10 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals.
- Bunger chipped in with eight points and four rebounds.
- Diaz, Ariana Escalante and Koda Beltran all had four points each. The trio combined for seven assists.
- The Lobos grabbed more rebounds than the Eagles, 40-35.
- Sul Ross State shot 6 for 7 from the free throw line. Rokas was a perfect 6 for 6 from the charity stripe.
- Aguayo ranks third in the American Southwest Conference with 133 rebounds while she continues to lead the way with 70 steals.
- Rokas is the fourth-best scorer in the ASC, averaging 15.2 points a game. She also ranks third in free throw percentage (83%).
