It's come down to the final two games of the season as an NCAA Division III program.

The Sul Ross State men's soccer team came up short on Thursday afternoon by dropping 2-1 to the East Texas Baptist University Tigers at the Lobo Soccer Field.

>> HOW IT HAPPENED:

On a free kick, Jacob Wenzel got the Tigers on the board first with a goal during the first minute.

ETBU got one more goal during the first half in the 28th minute when Luke Hunsinger scored on an assist by Bruno Palmieri.

The Lobos erased the shutout in the 64th minute as Jacob Garza found the back of the net with an assist from Antonio Lozano.

>> GAME NOTES:

• The Tigers had 20 shots and nine shots on goal compared to the 11 shots and four shots on goal for Sul Ross State.
• Cristobal Rodriguez and Justin Quinonez each finished with two shots.
• Andrew Magana, Pablo Herrera, Jair Moreno, Marco Rey, Jacob Garza, Joseph Garza and Isaac Medrano each had one shot.
• Jose Rangel made seven saves, five of which came in the second half.
• Rangel leads the Lobos with 71 saves.
