SHREVEPORT, La. — After suffering a 5-0 season-opening loss to Belhaven, the Sul Ross State men's soccer team rebounded Saturday night against Centenary.
The Lobos fought hard to earn a 0-0 draw.
"What it does is renews the confidence," said head coach
Jon Evan. "Lot of credit to the guys. It says that we've got some good leadership on and off the field. Everybody did something to contribute."
Sul Ross had seven shots, with three coming on the mark.
Luis Gonzalez tallied three shots, two at the goal.
Goalkeeper
Julian Sandoval made three saves in his first full collegiate game.
Centenary finished with 16 shots while its goalkeeper also had three saves.
"This was a good result. We got a good platform to build on," Evan added.
