ALPINE, Texas - Women's hoops set the tone early, outscoring McMurry in every quarter in a 74-51 Thursday night win at Gallego Center.

First Quarter
Caitlyn Corley opened scoring with a triple for a lead that lasted until McMurry tied it 7-7. The Lobos answered with a
Cassie Hogan layup before
Vania Hampton added a layup and free throw for a 12-7 score.
Keona Loftis gave Sully their largest advantage of the first with a layup to make it 16-9 before taking a 16-11 lead to the second.
Second Quarter
Hampton scored the first five of the second to go up eight. The Lobos later made it 28-13 with a 7-0 run for their largest lead of the half. McMurry cut it to nine with under two minutes left, but Sully finished with a small 5-2 run to lead 37-25 at the half.
Third Quarter
Hogan opened the second half with a triple to start a 13-0 run for a 50-25 advantage. McMurry controlled the second part of the third with a 9-1 finish for a 51-34 score heading to the fourth.
Fourth Quarter
Hampton continued her great night of scoring with a pair of early layups in. Those coupled with a triple from Loftis made it 58-39. Sully's largest lead of the game came on a late
Teresa Quintana triple for a 73-56 advantage with under two minutes left. The game saw one early tie and Sully never trailed in the 74-51 win.
Stats
Hampton led the game in points and rebounds with a 21 and 11 night. She shot 8-of-16 from the floor and was 5-of-5 from the free throw line.
Marley Rokas scored 11 and added eight rebounds.
Loftis and
Kayla James each dished out five assists.
The Lobos improve their season record to 8-7 and move to 4-6 in conference. McMurry falls to 0-13 and 0-8.
Sully next hosts Hardin-Simmons on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Gallego Center.
