ALPINE, Texas - Men's soccer dropped a 3-0 contest to Mary Hardin-Baylor on Thursday at Lobo Field.

UMHB scored two in the first half and one more in the second for the 3-0 win.

Sully was able to tally nine shots for the game but only put two on goal. One came from Pablo Herrera and another from Xavier Russell.

Alexis Tellez played all 90 minutes in goal and finished with seven saves.

FROM COACH E:
  • It was good to finally be back at home. It's not easy to go on the road to start the season.
  • Six road games and to finally be home and sleep in our own beds and prepare on our own field for more than just a night or two here and there was something we were all looking forward to.
  • Unfortunately we had a few breakdowns that good teams always seem to punish you with and that's what happened to us today.
  • UMHB is a good team and they capitalized on our mistakes. That's what they were supposed to do.
  • On the bright side despite the setbacks, we kept playing the right way and found our footing and our way of playing again. The score won't reflect that and our record won't reflect that but we know we got better as the game went on.
  • We'll keep at it and try to get it right on Saturday with a quick turnaround against a tough Concordia team.
The Lobos fall to 3-4 on the season and 0-3 in conference. UMHB stands at 7-3 and 5-0.

Sully next plays host to Concordia on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Lobo Field.
