ALPINE, Texas - Teresa Quintana provided a game-high 15 points, adding five rebounds and four assists, in a 64-52 win over McMurry for their first home win of the season.

Cassie Hogan scored the first four of the game with a jumper and a pair of free throws for the only scoring in the first five minutes of the contest.

After a McMurry jumper, Kaylee Martinez added a layup and a jumper before Quintana connected on a triple for an 11-2 lead with two minutes left in the quarter.

The War Hawks came back with a layup, but Sully finished the quarter on a 7-2 run. Quintana started with a triple, Hogan followed with a layup, and Jocelyne Roque finished with a jumper for an 18-6 lead heading to the second.

McMurry cut it to 10 with a jumper to open second quarter scoring, but Roque's connection on another layup and a Hogan free throw made it a 13-point lead.

Back-to-back layups from the War Hawks trimmed it to nine before Quintana connected on another triple to start a 7-0 run. She later hit a jumper and Ashley Nunez finished the run with a layup for a 28-12 lead with just under three minutes before halftime.

McMurry answered with a 10-0 run to trail by six with under a minute to go. Keona Loftis hit the first of two free throws for the final point of the quarter and a 29-22 lead heading to the break.

Hogan started the second half with jumper and a layup to put the Lobos ahead 33-22 in the first minute of the third.

The War Hawks cut it to nine but saw Martinez connect on three of her next four free throw attempts and then Quintana sank another jumper for a 38-25 advantage with just over seven minutes left in the third.

Sully's held at least an eight-point lead before Roque's layup in the final minute gave them their largest lead of the quarter of 14.

Two free throws from McMurry with no time remaining in the third made it a 48-36 Lobos lead heading to the final quarter.

Sully would lead by 14 on four different occasions early in the fourth quarter before a quick 5-0 War Hawks answer cut it to single digits and a 56-47 score with under five minutes left.

The Lobos eventually expanded their lead to as many as 15 on a quick 6-0 run on back-to-back layups from Alexis Carmosino and a pair of Quintana free throws late in the final quarter on their way to the eventual 64-52 win.

Carmosino added 14 points and tied Loftis for a team-high seven rebounds.

Hogan finished with 11 points, six rebounds and tied Loftis for a game-high three steals.
