VICTORIA- Two second half goals propelled the Lady Lobos to their first win of the season Friday on the road against NAIA University of Houston-Victoria.
After a scoreless first half, freshman midfielder
Joanna Estrada netted her second goal of the season off a
Judith Macias pass for a 1-0 lead in the 46th minute.
The lady Lobos would hold that lead until
Victoria Shelton sealed the deal off a free kick after a foul at 89:36 for the 2-0 lead and eventual win.
Sully tallied 18 shots with 12 on goal.
Freshman goalkeeper
Alitzel Ybarra played the entire 90 minutes and saved five shots in the shutout performance.
The Lady Lobos improve to 1-3-1 on the season while the Jaguars fall to 2-3.
They'll next travel to Kerrville Sunday for a 1:00 p.m. match against Schreiner.
