ALPINE, Texas- Southwestern University cruised to a 55-7 ASC victory over Sul Ross at Jackson Field Saturday evening.

The Pirates put up 42 unanswered points in the first half.

Sully's lone score came with 6:53 left in the fourth quarter as Fabian Baeza connected with Byron Jones for a 10-yard touchdown pass. Julio Azua added the extra point kick and it would mark the final time either team would light the board for the game.

Ronin Williams led the defense with nine tackles and a break up.

The Lobos drop to 0-5 on the season and 0-4 in ASC competition. Southwestern improves to 3-3 and 2-3.

Sul Ross faces No. 6 Hardin-Simmons University at 1:00 p.m. next Saturday at Shelton Stadium in Abilene.
