ROUND ROCK- Concordia University (10-7-0, 6-6-0) rallied with a three-goal assault in the second half and defeated visiting Sul Ross (8-6-1, 6-5-1) in a 3-2 ASC decision Saturday.
The Lady Lobos will take on U.T. Dallas in Richardson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the first round of the ASC post season tournament. This year's playoff appearance marks the second straight post season showing for Sul Ross in just its third year of intercollegiate play.
Sully scored its first goal at the 15th minute as freshman Kyrsta Armstrong (Edingburg/Economedes) worked the back line before banking right of the goalie.
Britney Berumen then hit a 15-yard tap shot from the lower right quadrant at 38:05 for a 2-0 lead that extended to the break.
The Tornados then drilled three shots within a seven-minute span in the second half to take a 3-2 lead and the eventual victory.
For the game, the Lady Lobos posted 11 shots putting six on goal. Berumen fired of three shots with two on frame.
Ashlie Rojas sported eight saves on the day.
