ALPINE, Texas- The Sul Ross women's basketball team (9-10, 6-4 ASC) dropped a 74-63 conference outing to visiting Mary Hardin-Baylor (12-6, 5-4 ASC) Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Lobos will face West Division leader Howard Payne University at 1:00 p.m. next Saturday at the Brownwood Coliseum.

Sul Ross was held to nine points in the first quarter as the Crusaders doubled up on the home team by an 18-9 margin.

Bayli Bowles (Roosevelt/RHS) connected on the first of two free throws early in the second quarter pushing Sully into double digits trailing 21-10.

Mary Hardin-Baylor would go on the hold a pair of 12-point leads and sported a 35-27 advantage at intermission.

The Cru soared on a 10-0 run to begin the third period and led 57-41 heading to the fourth.

The Lady Lobos were unable to pull any closer than a 10-point deficit in the fourth as UMHB glided to the 74-63 victory.

Ashley Ousley (Killeen/Shoemaker) recorded 12 points in the effort while Kenya Miles (Tomball/Memorial) saddled a double double 11 points and 14 rebounds.
