Lauren Ebbs (Dublin, Ireland) paced the offense with two goals and an assist as Sul Ross defeated Belhaven University, 3-1, in non-conference women's soccer action Thursday.
The Blazers are in their second year of provisional membership in the ASC and are not eligible for conference championship competition.
Thursday's win improves Sully to 3-4-1 on the season while Belhaven falls to 3-6-0.
Sul Ross will battle Louisiana College in a 2:00 p.m. conference home contest Saturday.
Ebbs' first score came in the 43rd minute on an unassisted low kick as Sully held the 1-0 advantage to intermission.
A penalty kick by Belhaven's Jessica Mahoney tied the game at the 47th minute.
Hailey Pace (Oakley, CA/Freedom) then recorded her first goal of the year at the 57:25 mark off of an assist by Ebbs.
Ebbs then sealed the lid at 86:58 on a tap shot with an assist by
Myranda Rodriguez (New Braunfels/NBHS) for the 3-1 victory.
Ashlie Rojas (El Paso/Montwood) bagged 10 saves on the afternoon.
As a team Sully fired off 23 shots with 14 on goal compared to BU's 19 shots with 11 on the frame.
