Ellyn Avery (Grady/GHS) posted 20 points and was just one rebound short of a double double to lead the Lady Lobos to a 76-58 victory over visiting Huston-Tillotson Saturday.

A layup and a free throw by Dendra Dejean at 3:40 put Huston-Tillotson ahead 12-9.
HTU then commenced on a 6-0 run ending on a three-pointer by Dejean at 1:26.
Bayli Bowles' (Roosevelt/RHS) scoop shot ten seconds later cut Sully's deficit to seven trailing 17-10 heading to the second quarter.
Bowles then connected from mid range 42 seconds into the period before Hearn scored on a runner down the lane line.

Avery Gregory (Lubbock/Cooper) tied the game at 21 with 3:59 remaining in the half.
Sul Ross broke ahead on an 8-0 run which ended on a fast break layup by Avery for a 31-22 Lady Lobo lead at intermission.
The Lady Lobos started the third quarter with a 10-0 run capped by another fast break layup by Avery.
Huston-Tillotson narrowed its deficit down to a pair of 11-point deficits and ended the period with a free throw by Dejean for a 53-40 lead for the home team heading to the fourth quarter.
Sul Ross led by 17 as Avery connected on a short range shot at 6:26.
The Lady Lobos would go on to sport a pair of 18-point leads as Avery sank two foul shots for the 76-58 win.
Hearn and Carr recorded 11 and ten points in the victory. Avery and Carr polled five assists each.
