AUSTIN-The Sul Ross women's basketball team dropped a 72-52 decision Thursday to host Concordia as the Tornadoes picked up their first ASC victory of the season.
Kenya Miles (Tomball/Memorial) led the Pack with 16 points while Jonette Jackson (Killeen/Shoemaker) collected 10 rebounds in the effort.
Sul Ross shot a cold 31 percent from the floor against Concordia but hit four of 10 from outside the arc at 40 percent.
The Tornadoes erupted with a 13-0 run to start the contest and posted a 38-23 lead at the half.
The Lady Lobos could pull no closer than 11 in the fourth period as Concordia coasted to the 72-52 win.
Sul Ross falls to 4-14 on the season and 1-7 in ASC play while Concordia improves to 8-8 and 1-6.
The Lady Lobos will face Mary Hardin-Baylor at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
